India's SuratThe inaugural game by Moonwalk Games, an up-and-coming independent game developer from India, "A Thug's Ascension" is soon to hit the gaming scene. This action-adventure game promises an enticing experience powered by an engrossing plot as it takes players on a sinister trip through a corrupt and divided metropolis.
"A Thug's Ascension" which was shown during the DreamHack Beyond Indie Showcase earlier in August, is generating a lot of interest among gamers. The game has garnered interest at a number of expos, such as Steam Next Fest, IndiaGDC in Hyderabad, and DevGAMM Lisbon. On January 16th, it will be available globally for Windows and macOS.
Working with Moonwalk Games, Indian writer-director Adi Chandra prioritizes storyline over showy mechanics in order to bring "A Thug's Ascension" to life. The game centers on Chief, a mercenary who must navigate a four-hour plot in the Mumbai-inspired fictional city of Maratha while overcoming obstacles from the fearsome Dr. Sarkar. It is described as a fifteen-chapter first-person shooter with driving, exploration, and puzzles. The gameplay is also said to be varied. Chandra stresses the use of the surroundings as a weapon to add complexity to combat techniques. Anticipation is raised by the game's trailers, which highlight its varied gameplay and dramatic elements. It may be wishlisted on Steam and is slated for release on November 30th for Windows and macOS. A Linux port is also in the works.
