EARLY LIFE 

A.P.J Abdul Kalam born in Rameswaram into a Tamil Muslim family in Tamil Nadu. He came from a middle class background where his father was a boatman and mother was a housewife . He used to sell newspapers after completion of his School so that he could support his father. In 1955 he went to Madras to pursue his studies further.

CAREER AS THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA

A.P.J Abdul Kalam won the election of President in 2002 by surpassing mammoth votes. His term of President was from 25 July 2002 to 25 July 2007. It was an easy win for him because he was backed by the parties of National Congress and Samajwadi party. He was the first Scientist and Bachelor to occupy the seat of Rashtrapati Bhavan . He also received the highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna award.

CAREER AS SCIENTIST

A.P.J Abdul Kalam designed a mini helicopter for the Indian Army.  Despite of the major breakthrough he still acted as the representative of Smiling Buddha which was the first nuclear test to be conducted. From July 1992 onwards he served as the Chief Scientific Adviser to the Prime Minister.
