Glenn Maxwell, All you need toknow about him

Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell is renowned for his explosive batting and unusual strategies. After making his debut in 2010, he gained rapid notoriety in domestic cricket by smashing the record with a half-century (50 runs in 19 balls). Maxwell is mostly an expert in limited overs, although he also does well in 20/20 and One Day Internationals.  A true all-rounder, he won the T20 World Cup in 2021 and was a member of Australia's winning Cricket World Cup squads in 2015 and 2023. He also bowls right-arm off-break. He holds the marks for the fastest World Cup century (40 balls) and the fastest double century in a World Cup. He is one of the few cricket players to register hundreds in all three formats.

Australian cricket hero Glenn Maxwell began his career as a youth player for the South Belgrave Cricket Club in Kew, Victoria, his birthplace. It's interesting to note that he started off throwing quickly before developing his current off-spin technique.

In the 2013 IPL auction, he was the most expensive buy.  He is still a great asset in T20 leagues around the globe.

International career

He later participated in ODIs and T20Is against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Even though his batting wasn't very reliable at first, he showed off his bowling ability and was included in the Australian World Twenty20 squad.

Test match debut

In 2012, Glenn Maxwell's career took off internationally. He earned a berth in the World Twenty20 squad after making an immediate impression in both bowling and batting on his debut against Afghanistan. Even if his batting wasn't always reliable at first, he had promise.

Maxwell was a mainstay in Australia's ODI squad by 2013. In India, he made his Test debut, displaying his versatility with the bat and the ball. In limited-overs cricket, he kept up his strong play and even made appearances in the Champions Trophy and World Twenty20.
