Introduction
An English cricket player for Surrey County Cricket Club, Jamie Overton was born on April 10, 1994. He bats and bowls right-handed, movement swiftly. June 2022 saw Jamie's debut for England on the international scene. He made his Somerset debut in a Clydesdale Bank 40 match against Surrey in 2012. Craig, his identical twin, is a Somerset player.
Domestic Career
Jamie Overton shot to fame during the 2012 U-19 World Cup thanks to an incredible performance. He moved from Somerset to Surrey in August 2020, and in that same month, he achieved his first-class century. He became a member of the Manchester Originals for The Hundred in 2022, and in 2023 he was named player of the tournament. In August 2023, Overton resigned from Surrey and became a member of the Adelaide Strikers for the 2023–24 Big Bash League.
International Career
Jamie Overton was included in a 55-person training group on May 29, 2020, in advance of England's international matches. Later, he was named in the 30-man England Test team to train against the West Indies. After being seen bowling at 90 mph in May 2022, Overton was called up to the England Test team for the series finale against New Zealand. On June 23, 2022, he debuted in a test.
