The announcement was made by Coinbase International, the company's worldwide cryptocurrency futures platform, which states that it would list the altcoins Aptos (APT), Filecoin (FIL), and Sui (SUI).
Coinbase International has released a formal statement stating that on February 8, 2024, at 13:00 CET or later, transactions for three other currencies will begin.
With its recent launch, Coinbase International aims to capture a portion of the futures market, which is dominated by industry heavyweights like Binance and Bybit. Coinbase does not, however, establish a futures platform on its own platform because of US legal requirements.
The business has recently been stepping up its footprint in Europe as well. Its services can now be offered in France after obtaining a license as a virtual asset service provider last month.
Additionally, it recently acquired licenses in Bermuda, Singapore, and Spain.
The Securities and Exchange Commission in the US has accused Coinbase of breaking securities rules, and as a result, the business is currently under intense regulatory pressure.
