ABOUT DENGUE 

Dengue is a mosquito- borne viral disease caused by infected mosquitoes. It is transmitted by female mosquitoes - Aedes aegypti. These dengue mosquitoes bite during the daytime and are found everywhere.It is more common in tropical and sub- tropical climate.You can't get dengue by an infected person.The two types of mosquitoes that most often spread the dengue viruses are common both in and around human lodgings.

SYMPTOMS

Most people with dengue have several different symptoms, such as fever, headache, nausea and rashes. Severe joint and muscle pain, Gum and nose bleeding, loss of appetite, diarrhea and nose bleeding It is a viral infection spread by mosquitoes. These symptoms usually appear  4-10 days after bitten by an infected mosquito.

PREVENTIONS

Till now the only prevention from Dengue is to cover yourself from mosquito bite.

1. Cover your skin by wearing long bottoms and long sleeved shirts.•Keep your surroundings clean by removing waste and cleaning the standing water.

2. Keep all the doors and windows close during dawn , dusk to avoid the entry of infected mosquitoes.
