TRANSCENDENTALISTS
The Transcendentalists (ordinarily known as saints, philosophers, reformers, messenger of God, and so forth) appear in various places of the world at various times. They render transcendental service to the absolute Truth, and to humanity also. According to these, human beings should have higher concerns than those of lower animals like cats and dogs who are also concerned primarily with two things, namely, themselves and the world at large.
BELIEFS
Transcendentalists are strong believers in the power of the individual and are primarily concerned with personal freedom. Their beliefs are closely linked with those of the Romantics, but differ by an attempt to embrace or, at least, to not oppose the empiricism of science. They believe that society and its institutions- particularly organized religion and political parties- corrupt the purity of the individual.
MAJOR FIGURES
